甬剧字幕中文化负载词的翻译实证研究——以《筑梦》为例

Translation of Culture-loaded Words in Ningbo Opera Subtitles——A Case Study of Dream Building

从不同翻译视角,采用不同翻译策略对甬剧《筑梦》中的文化负载词进行英译研究,力求研究出《筑梦》中关键文化负载词的最佳译文及如何传达其文化内涵。研究表明:对于特定的文化负载词而言,应选取不同的翻译视角和翻译策略,在使翻译受众理解原文内容的基础上,尽量做到文本的通顺明白以及用词的简明优雅,这样才能更好地传播中华文化及甬文化。

This paper uses different translation perspectives and different translation strategies to achieve the best English translation of culture-loaded words in the opera Dream Building in order to convey the cultural connotations. Studies show that for the culture-loaded words, different perspec tives and strategies shall be selected for the translation and to make the target audience understand the content of the original, smooth and logical translation and concise and elegant diction be pro posed in order to popularize the Chinese culture and the Ningbo culture as well.
