In order to study the effect of compound probiotic fermentation of corn straw on the growth performance, apparent nutrient digestibility and economic benefit of crossbred sheep.60 crossbred sheep of similar weight and health were randomly divided into 4 groups, each group had 15 repetitions, each repetitions had sheep 1.Group 1 was the control group fed with basic diet, and groups 2,3 and 4 were added with 25%,50%and 75%compound probiotic fermented corn straw instead of common silage. The pre-test lasted 17 days and test period lasted 56 days. The results showed that:(1)The average daily gain of groups 3 and 4 was 12.2%and 14.3%higher than that of group 1(P<0.05),the average food intake of groups 2,3 and 4 was higher than that of group 1(P>0.05).(2)The apparent digestibility of dry matter, calcium and phosphorus of groups 2,3 and 4 was higher than that of group 1(P>0.05).The apparent digestibility of crude protein, neutral detergent fiber and acid washing fiber in groups 3 and 4 were 10.3%,12.0%,4.8%,9.6%,16.2%and 21.2%higher than that of group 1(P<0.05);(3)The gross profit of groups 3 and 4 was 11.6%and 23.4%higher than that of group 1.In conclusion,75%compound probiotic fermentation of corn straw instead of ordinary silage could improve the growth performance, apparent nutrient digestibility and economic benefits of hybrid mutton sheep.
