摘要
英汉法律术语不对等现象存在英汉法律语言、法律文化、立法者意图和法律译者水平等四个方面的差异原因。由此,我们提出法律术语翻译适用“变译”策略。通过八种变译手段与实例论证英汉法律术语不对等现象翻译的有效性。
The causes of unequivalence in legal terms between English and Chinese include the differences of the two legal languages,the two legal cultures,the intentions of legislators and the proficiency of legal translators.We advise that the strategy of translation variation should be applied to legal terms translation,and the translation effectiveness of unequivalence in legal terms between English and Chinese is demonstrated by eight ways of translation variation with examples.
