This paper expounds the situation of flood control in Xinzhou City,analyzes the rainstorm disaster and disaster factors in flood season of Xinzhou City with more detailed data,and puts forward existing problems of flood control.First of all,it is necessary to improve the feeting,implement the responsibility of flood control,and solve the problem of ideological understanding and inview of the existing problems of flood control,puts forward the countermeasures.Secondly,the existing hydraulic projects must be used to a great extend for optimizing the project’s operating and storagind&retarding water flood,so as to relief the downstream flood disaster occuring by the instantaneous rainstorm flow concentration.Finally,the innovative flood control management mechanism is put forward to provide support for flood control decision.
