作为中国北方最大的淡水湖,微山湖拥有亚洲最大的十万亩天然荷花池。每年从5月份至10月份,十万亩荷花竞相开放,青翠的荷叶,红白辉映的荷花,澄清的湖水,悠悠的浮云,令人心旷神怡。魅力荷都荷花因“出淤泥而不染,濯清涟而不妖”的品性,备受世人青睐,历代文人墨客无不竭尽其能而盛赞之,对其评价丝毫不逊于对梅、兰、竹、菊的赞赏,普通人家则把荷花视作祥瑞、圣洁的象征,把财、福、平安寓于荷花。

The Weishan Lake,as the largest freshwater lake in North China,has Asia's largest naturallotus pond, which covers an area of 6666.67 hectares. From Mayto October every year,6666.67 hectares of lotuses may competefor blossom.with the improvement of living standards and thedevelopment of tourism,a“Boom of Lake Travel for Lotus Viewing”has developed in recent years.For this,Weishan County specially built tourist facilities-Binhu Wharf,Aihu Wharf, Wanghu Tower,Guanhe Pavilion,and so forth.All these enable to urists tolive comfortably,eat deliciously and enjoy themselves.
