In this novel,clothes are closely related to the social reality as well as the sexual struggles of London in the mid 20th century.The description of dress in The Golden Notebook argues how dress is used to fight for freedom by the women and people of the LGBT community who are still under the judgement of male discourse.Besides,the dress of the LGBT communityalso shows the possibility of gender diversity.It breaks the traditional gender norms and makes it a secular discourse that can be corktantly re-esamind and defined.
