Exploring the Residential Architecture in Yangtze Delta in Song Dynasty Through the Traditional Chinese Painting“Landscapes of the Four Seasons”

民居建筑因营造方式相对随意,工程质量和建材耐久性较差,鲜有遗存而缺乏佐证。宋代绘画作为图像资料,其中不乏反映不同类型建筑、山水景观等题材,成为研究宋代江南民居建筑的珍贵资料之一。

Remains of residential buildings are often hardly found due to the arbitrary construction approach,the low quality of engineering projects,and the poor durability of construction materials.However,many of Chinese paintings in Song Dynasty,as image information,display various types of architecture and landscape,etc.and become valuable reference for the study on the residential architecture in Yangtze Delta in Song Dynasty.
