摘要
城市人口密度的提高会对居民的消费产生积极的影响。在人口密度大的地区,社交关系网络更容易形成,商品口碑传播得更快,人们会有更多的社交消费需求。通过固定效应模型对2005—2018年的省级面板数据进行回归分析,发现城市人口密度对居民的平均消费倾向的影响显著为正。中国的人口城镇化落后于土地城镇化,造成城市人口密度随城镇化不升反降。因此,政府应加强人口的城镇化,使人口密度接近最优水平,促进居民消费的提升。
The increase in urban population density will have a positive impact on residents’consumption.In densely populated areas,social network is easier to form,product reputation spreads faster,and people will have more social consumption needs.A regression analysis of the provincial panel data from 2005 to 2018 through a fixed effects model found that the urban population density has a significant positive impact on the average propensity to consume.China’s population urbanization lags behind land urbanization,causing urban population density to decline as urbanization rate rise.The government should strengthen the urbanization of the population,bring the population density close to the optimal level,and then promote the increase of residents’consumption.
