LYU Zhi-jie′s Experience in Treating Diseases with 3 Classical Formulas

柴胡汤证以往来寒热为特点,热郁较深,阳气不能外达时,可见阳证似阴证。大柴胡汤疏利少阳,清热通腑,主治少阳病未解,邪入阳明化热之证;猪苓汤证阴虚、热结、水停并见,猪苓汤育阴清热利水,治疗虚性水气病;桂枝加附子汤治疗营卫不和,卫阴不足之证,附子汤治疗营卫不和,阳虚较甚之证。吕志杰教授分别运用大柴胡汤治疗振寒,运用猪苓汤治疗小便不利,运用桂枝加附子汤和附子汤治疗阳虚多汗证,均取得良效。

The syndrome of Bupleurum Decoction is characterized by alternating chills and fever.When the heat depression is deep and yang qi cannot reach outside,it can be seen yang syndrome is similar to yin syndrome.Major Bupleurum Decoction can soothe shaoyang,clear heat and dredge fu-organs.It is mainly used to treat the syndrome that shaoyang disease is not solved and pathogens enter yangming to transform into heat.The syndrome of Polyporus Decoction is characterized by yin deficiency,heat stagnation and water retention.It can nourish yin,clear heat and promote urination,so is often used to treat fluid retention.Cinnamon Twig and Poria Decoction can treat syndrome of disharmony between nutrient and defensive qi,and nutrient-defense deficiency.Aconite Decoction can treat syndrome of disharmony between nutrient and defensive qi with severe yang deficiency.Professor LYU Zhi-jie uses Major Bupleurum Decoction to treat shivering cold,Polyporus Decoction to treat dysuria,Cinnamon Twig and Poria Decoction to treat syndrome of yang deficiency and profuse sweating respectively,and has achieved good results.
