中国传统文化在大学英语教学中的应用

The Application of Traditional Chinese Culture in College English Teaching

语言学习不仅可以作为沟通技巧的敲门砖,而且还能够养成一种良好的道德品德修养。英语作为全球通用的语言之一,已经成为我们学习生活中的一部分。英语教学虽然在我国的发展时间并不长,但是它的教育作用已经日益凸显。我们学习英语,既是为了在全球化浪潮中能够夺得话语权,占有一席之地,同时也是为了在习得英语的同时将中国文化输出到国外,将文化的"走出去"与"引进来"巧妙地结合起来。随着英语教学改革的进一步加深,很多学者将中国的传统文化应用到英语教学中去,经过一段时间的融合实践,这种方式已经起到了积极的促进作用。不仅可以帮助学生用本民族的传统文化去引导英语学习,而且还可以将中国的传统文化用英语表达出去让更多的人知道。它也使得我们开阔了眼界,增长了见识,同时也可以帮助我们了解到其他国家的文化习俗和风土人情。本文以中国传统文化在英语教学中的融入实践进行了思考,分析近年来我国大学英语的教学现状,探究了如何将中国文化运用到大学英语教学中去,使其得到最好的应用,从而全面提高学生学习英语的兴趣。

Language learning cannot only serve as a stepping stone to communication skills,but it also helps cultivate students’morality.As one of the universal languages,English has become one part of our study.Although the development of English teaching in our country is not long,its educational function has become increasingly prominent.We learn English in order to gain the right and place to speak in the tide of globalization,and at the same time to export Chinese culture abroad while learning it,which can combine the import and export of the culture skillfully.With the deepening of English teaching reform,many scholars apply the traditional Chinese culture to English teaching.After the integration and practice for a period of time,this approach has played a positive role in promoting English learning.The approach can not only guide students to use their own traditional culture to learn English,it can also exhibit traditional Chinese culture in English and make it known by more people around the world.It opens our minds,broadens our horizons and helps us understand the customs and culture of other countries.Based on the integration of traditional Chinese culture into English teaching,this paper analyzes the current situation of college English teaching in China,and probes into how to apply Chinese culture into college English teaching so that we can use it to the greatest extent and improve students’interest in English learning.
