文章以位于台东由达兴登建筑师设计的公东的教堂为研究对象,概述了台东天主教的传播及教会建筑的历史发展;通过实地测绘,分析了公东的教堂建筑的形式与功能、结构技术、建筑氛围与风格等特征;探讨了公东的教堂在台湾历史、建筑界等方面的重要意义;为公东的教堂在保护与更新、学术研究上提供了一些基础性的研究资料。

Based on the chapel of GungTung in Taitung,which designed by Justurs Dahinden.this paper summarizes the spread of Catholicism and the historical development of chapel architecture in Taitung,Through field surveying and mapping,Analyzed the characteristics of the form and function, structural technology, architectural atmosphere and style of the chapel of Gung-Tung,Discussed the importance of the chapel of Gung-Tung in Taiwan’s history and architecture,Provided some basic research materials for the protection, renewal, and academic research of the chapel of Gung-Tung.
