Zadie Smith is one of the most influential writers of the new generation in England. The Northwest London area, where she grows up,is also the place where the stories of the“London Trilogy”—White Teeth,NW and Swing Time—happened. With the“spatial turn”,space has become a main category of analysis in literature. In the three novels,Smith depicts the increasingly severe gap between the rich and the poor and the class division in London under the power behind the urban space of London. As a product of social construction, urban space has a profound impact on individuals and groups under the multicultural background. The uneven distribution of resources in the space leads to the gradual marginalization. The injustice of urban space causes the deviation of individual identity.
