From the perspective of"abnormal"reverse communication,The Book of Songs is regarded as a medium for information transmission.An analysis is made of the significance of poetic composition,compilation and disseminationderived from the diachronic communication structure of the text of The Book of Songs.Then,its communication effect is discussed.It should be stressed that The Book of Songs is more than pure literature and a tool of political indoctrination.Itis the dissemination and centralization of information representing the subjects’wishes,thus playing an important role in China’s traditional cultural inheritance.
