湖南图书馆史上唯一一任女馆长黄淑范生平考

A Survey of the Life Story of Huang Shufan,the Only Female Chie f Librarian of Hunan Library

1938年2月至1940年10月,黄淑范担任湖南图书馆的前身湖南省立中山图书馆馆长一职。任职期间,为躲避日军炮火,黄淑范带领全体职员携十万余册馆藏图书辗转迁徙至辰溪,为抢救和保护珍贵文化典籍做出了重大贡献,可谓壮举。但其女性身份及生平事迹却因鲜有人知而失考,厘清其履历可丰富近代图书馆史资料,意义重大。

From February 1938 to October 1940,Huang Shufan was the chief librarian of Hunan Provincial Zhongshan Library,which was the predecessor of Hunan Library.In order to avoid Japan invasion during her term of office,Huang Shufan led all the staff to move to Chenxi with more than 100,000 library collections,which made a great contribution to save and protect these precious collections of culture,which can be described as a heroic act.But there’s too little information about her female identity and life story.To clarify her resume can enrich library history materials,which has great significance.
