A Preliminary Study on the Style of Shi Zimei’s Annotation in The Art of War

《孙子兵法》是我国古老而又杰出的一部军事理论著作,前人对其有非常多的注释。在《施氏七书讲义》中,施子美对《孙子兵法》进行了全面、系统且极具特点的注解。其特点主要有三:一是对于字词的注释非常详尽;二是强调篇章段落之间的完整性与系统性;三是常采用多种论说手法。这些注解不仅有助于理解《孙子兵法》的内容与思想,也体现了施子美对于《孙子兵法》的独特体会与深层感悟。

The Art of War is an ancient and outstanding military theory work in China.The predecessors have made many comments on it.In Shi’s Lecture Notes on the Seven Books,Shi Zimei gave a comprehensive,systematic and characteristic annotation to The Art of War.There are three main characteristics:one is that the notes are very detailed,the other is that it emphasizes the integrity and systemicity between the chapters and paragraphs,and the third is that it often uses a variety of methods of argumentation.These annotations not only help to understand the contents and ideas of The Art of War,but also reflect Shi Zimei’s unique experience and deep insights on The Art of War.
