改革开放之初,国家逐步恢复了教授职称评审制度,教授的教学科研工作逐步走上正轨,因而形成了该阶段特有的群体特征。一是重获新生:喜迎科学春天,献身科研;参与拨乱反正,恢复名誉。二是道德高尚:拥护党的领导,立党为公;献身教育事业,爱岗敬业;淡泊名利,无私奉献。三是教书育人:认真备课,教学有方,严格要求,关爱学生。四是治学严谨:潜心研究,实事求是,遵守规范。教授群体特征的生成是社会政治制度、教授聘任制度、教授评价制度等综合作用的结果。

At the beginning of the reform and opening up,the country gradually resumed the title evaluation of professors,and the teaching and scientific research work of professors was gradually on the right track,thus forming the unique group characteristics of this stage.The first is to be reborn:to welcome“the spring of science”and devote oneself to scientific research;rectify chaos and restore reputation.The second is moral nobility:uphold the leadership of the party and build the party for the public;devote oneself to the cause of education and be passionate in one’s work;indifferent to fame and fortune and keep selfless dedication.The third is to teach and educate people:carefully prepare lessons,teach in a proper way,strictly require and care for students.The fourth is rigorous scholarship:concentrate on research,seek truth from facts,and abide by norms.The formation of the characteristics of this professor group is the result of the comprehensive functions of social and political system,professor appointment system and professor evaluation system.
