In this self initiated research-by-design project,Shift architecture urbanism argues for micromarkets that operate on a hyper local scale duringcorona shutdowns. They keep the food markettraders and the whole supply chain behind them inbusiness in order to provide fresh food in a safe wayto the self-quarantined inhabitants of the city. Theirhyper local character limits the amount of travellingthrough the city and their products on offer releasethe pressure on the supermarkets that have a hardtime reducing the contamination risk.
