COVID-19 treatment centres are rapidly beconing a new design typology,born in a time ofemergency and becoming more effective as eachnew design attempts to maximise the potential ofdistributive systems as well as technical systemsin containing the spread of the disease.Aftermore than ten months from the onset of thepandemic,it is clear that the more vulnerable thehealthcare system is,the harder the impact of thepandemic is on the society as a whole.Therefore,a number of design solutions are being tested indifferent contexts around the world and,as newhealthcare facility concepts,have set the bar indifferent respects:velocity of design+construction,organisation of internal flows,innovativecombination of ventilation and distributivesystems.
