Simulation and Optimization of Air Distribution in a Data Center

摘要 本文以上海某金融类数据中心为例,通过6 SigmaRoom模拟软件对机房气流组织与热环境进行研究。分析了不同布置方式下机房的温度场和速度场。针对机房出现的冷热掺混和气流分布不均匀问题,提出多个模拟方案进行研究对比,逐步优化气流组织,最终得出一最佳优化方案,并用热环境指数HMI对模拟结果进行评价分析。机房模拟结果表明,静压层高度与地板格栅开孔率对气流分布有显著影响。高架地板高度为0.8~0.9 m,地板格栅开孔率为40%~50%时,可有效改善机房热环境,避免冷热掺混,气流组织效果最佳。 Taking a typical data center in Shanghai as an example,the airflow organization and thermal environment of computer room were studied by 6 SigmaRoom simulation method.Temperature and velocity distribution of different layouts were analyzed.An optimized simulation scheme including two measures was proposed to solve the airflow chaos and non-homogeneous airflow distribution in data center,and results were evaluated by thermal environment index.The study shows that airflow distribution is significantly affected by plenum height and the percent openings of tiles.The recommended ranges of plenum height and percent openings of tiles are 0.8~0.9m and 40%~50%respectively,which can improve the thermal environment and avoid the airflow chaos.
