书籍是文化知识的一种载体,而书的设计也恰恰是为它的实质目的而服务。我们国的书籍设计截止到现在,已有了两千多年的历史,在其漫长的演变过程中逐渐成形,才具备了端庄、典雅、古朴、简洁等东方特质,在全世界书籍设计历史上有着重要的历史地位。文章从现代书籍装帧设计与传统民族文化等方面阐述了书籍的装帧形式、设计要素以及文字的变体设计等都被民俗文化深深包孕这一要点。

The books are the cultural carrier,and the book design is to serve its object substantially.Till now,the book design in our country has a more than 2000 years history and in its long and slow involvement,it takes shape gradually with dignified,elegant,natural and simple Orient features,which has important historical position in book design in the world.It expounded the graphic forms,design elements and transformed words design included deeply in folk culture from the view of modern book graphic design and traditional national culture.
