Chamdo,situated within the Hengduan Mountains,is known as Tibet's easternmost pearl.It is also renowned for three dances—the Chamdo Gordro (circle dance),Markham String,and Tenchen Rapa—which people refer to as the three specialties of local artistic culture as well as (perhaps more precisely) the three shining treasures of Chinese culture.
