一部新文化的珍贵文献——《胡适留学日记》版本源流及其文献价值考

A Precious Heritage of the New Culture:Textual Research on the Edition Origin and the Documental Value of Diary by Hu Shi as an International Student

《胡适留学日记》是中国近代留学史上的一部经典文献。最早由许怡荪摘抄节录《藏晖室札记》,在《新青年》连载;后经章希吕誊抄、整理,1939年由亚东图书馆出版;2015年上海人民出版社将新发现的《胡适留学日记手稿》影印出版。通过梳理这些版本的整理、编辑、出版过程,考证各个版本(特别是手稿本)的异同,明晰其蕴含的文献价值,进而理解《胡适留学日记》在中西文化交流史上的特殊地位。

Diary by Hu Shi as an International Student(《胡适留学日记》)is a classic document in the history of modern Chinese international students.Its earliest version,was selected and excerpted by Xu Yisun(许怡荪)from Notes of Canghui Chamber(《藏晖室札记》),and was serialized in La Jeunesse(《新青年》).Later,it was carefully transcribed and rearranged by Zhang Xilv(章希吕),with the excerpt published by the Oriental Book Company(亚东图书馆)in 1939.2015年将新发现的《胡适留学日记手稿》影印出版。Shanghai People's Publishing House(上海人民出版社)published the photocopied edition of the newly-discovered Diary Manuscript by Hu Shi as an International Student(《胡适留学日记手稿》)in 2015.By sorting out the process of the arrangement,editing and publishing of these editions,the textual research compared the similarities and dissimilarities among the different editions(especially the manuscripts),clarified the documental value contained in Hu Shi's Diary,thus understanding the special status of Diary by Hu Shi as an International Student in the history of cultural exchange between China and the West.
