Endometriosis-Associated Ovarian Cancer:A Review on Pathology and Molecular Biology

子宫内膜异位症是妇科常见疾病,严重影响育龄期、绝经前期妇女的生活质量。传统认为子宫内膜异位症是一种良性病变,但随着研究的深入发现子宫内膜异位症可能是一种具有恶变潜能的疾病,尤其是卵巢子宫内膜异位症与卵巢恶性肿瘤的发生具有密切联系,称为子宫内膜异位症相关性卵巢癌(EAOC)。EAOC恶变的主要组织类型包括卵巢透明细胞癌、卵巢子宫内膜样癌和罕见的浆液黏液性癌。子宫内膜异位症恶变机制复杂,涉及多个分子通路的相互作用,对EAOC的深入研究可使子宫内膜异位症患者的临床管理模式产生重大变革。

Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease,and seriously affects the life of many women at childbearing age and premenopausal stage.Endometriosis used to be considered as a benign lesion,but more and more research results have found that it may have a malignant transformation potential,especially that ovarian endometriosis and ovarian cancer has a close relationship,and this type of ovarian cancer is called endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer(EAOC).The main histological types of EAOC include ovarian clear cell carcinoma,ovarian endometrioid carcinoma and rare serous mucinous carcinoma.The mechanism of EAOC is complex and involves multiple molecular pathways.The in-depth study of EAOC can bring about a significant change in the clinical management of the patients.
