Foreign Language Institute:The Practice and Exploration of the First Cadre School of the Communist Party of China

外国语学社是上海共产党早期组织创办的我党第一所培养革命干部的外国语学校,实行外语教育和马列主义教育、革命理论与革命实践相结合的办学方针,探索新型的半工半读的学习方式,成为中国共产党早期干部教育的典范。外国语学社完成了上海共产党早期组织培养青年团员、培训赴俄留学青年的特殊任务,在筹备建党的工作实践中发挥了特殊作用。外国语学社培养了刘少奇、任弼时等一批党的早期干部,翻开了中共早期干部培养的新篇章。

Foreign Language Institute is the first foreign language school founded by the early organization of Shanghai Communist Party to train revolutionary cadres.It implemented the policy of integrating foreign language education with Marxism–Leninism education,theory with revolutionary practice,explored new ways of part work,part study,and became a model of the cadre education in the early days of the Communist Party of China.It completed the special tasks of the Shanghai Communist Party in the early stage of organizing and training Communist Youth League members and young people going to study in Russia,and played a special role in preparing for the party-building.Foreign Language Institute trained a series of cadres of the Communist Party of China,such as Liu Shaoqi and Ren Bishi,starting a new chapter of cadre training in the early days of the party.
