摘要
西贝利斯是19世纪德国著名的古典教育家。本文基于西贝利斯本人关于古典教育的论述,并结合相关学者关于西贝利斯古典教育思想的考察,研究主要从两方面对其在古典教育方面的贡献展开讨论:在理论方面,西贝利斯提出古典教育的目的是使学生成为具有“人性”的人,阅读古希腊古罗马经典作家的作品是实现这一目的的唯一途径,于此过程中古典教育有益于促进学生求真、求善、求美,而这些皆建立在学生终生对古典作品的研读基础之上;在实践方面,主要包括从文本层面阐释古典和从实践层面运用古典。在此基础上,研究总结出西贝利斯古典教育思想所具有的三个特点。
Siebelis is a famous classical educator in Germany in the 19th century.Based on Siebelis’own discussion on classical education(first-hand literature)and related scholars’investigation on Siebelis’classical education thoughts(second-hand literature),the research mainly discusses its classical education thoughts from two aspects.In theoretical side,Siebelis proposes that the purpose of classical education is to make students become“humanistic”people and reading ancient Greek and Roman works are the only way to achieve this goal.In this process,classical education is conducive to promoting students’pursuit of truth,goodness and beauty,which is based on students’lifelong study of classical works.In practical side,it mainly includes the interpretation of classical works from the text level and the application of classical works from the practice level.On this basis,the study summarizes the four characteristics of Siebelis’classical education。
