With the deepening of globalization and the rapid development of network information technology,the"post-95 s"and"post-00 s"college students show distinctive group characteristics,and traditional ideological and political education is facing severe challenges.By exploring the necessity and feasibility of introducing the concept and method of social work into the ideological and political education for college students,it is considered that the application of the theory,values and methods of social work in the ideological and political education for college students is an effective supplement and improvement of ideological and political education,which can adapt to the requirements of the development of the situation,help to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education and promote the overall development of college students.
