An Analysis of Architectural Cultural Operations Behind the Oculi Mentis of “Political Correctness”A Case Study of Three Award-Winning Projects

摘要 "西方政治正确"原本是一种避免对某些社会群体造成冒犯的意识,但在建筑行为中也有体现。通过3个案例试图解析"西方政治正确"背后的几种文化运作模式,讨论这些模式在国内运作的可行性,并展示其对维护中国建筑文化自主性的作用。最后也借由3个案例指出海外建筑评论在中文世界的可行性与必要性。 ‘Political correctness’ is originally a term to describe the consciousness of avoiding offence of particular groups in society. It is also reflected in architectural practice in many ways. Through analyzing the cultural operations behind "political correctness", this paper discusses the possibility of implementing these operations in China, as well as its possible contributions to the autonomy of architectural culture in China. Last but not least, this case study also indicates the feasibility and necessity of architectural criticism to overseas projects in Chinese speaking world.
