The Invisible Vision in Between Enclosure of Wall : Separation and Connection of the Religious Complex in Jinci

中国传统建筑的空间领域界定方式是否只有围墙?其实,领域界定方式的选择也是营建中的重要一环。正如晋祠内十几处庙宇所表现出来的,不同形式的"墙"形成了不同感知度的"围",祠庙的个性也基于此表现出来。庙宇之间以祭祀时的身体路径串联,相连的界面又围合出了没有"墙"的祠庙领域。本文借助晋祠分析传统建筑的"领域感",为祠宇间的分界与关联提供一个新的观察视角。

Is the wall the only way of boundary determination in traditional Chinese architectural space? In fact, the section of methods to determine boundaries is also crucial in traditional architectural complex. As demonstrated in a dozen of temples inside Jinci, different feelings caused by various forms of walls represent the shrine’s character. Invisible "walls" is built by one’s path and physical experience in the rituals. The paper uses Jinci as an example to examine "the field", providing a new angle to study the separation and connection of religious space.
