In 2017,the Saihanba Afforestation Community in Hebei Province was crowned Champions of the Earth for the first time in the category of Inspiration and Action,the highest environmental award given by the United Nations.For over 50 years,three generations of the Saihanba foresters have worked continuously to build the world’s largest planted forest farm covering an area of 1.12 million mu(around 74,667 hectares)and have created a“green miracle,”turning a desert into an oasis and a wasteland into a lush green forest.
2017年,联合国把“2017地球卫士·行动与激励奖”颁发给了塞罕坝林场。这是联合国的最高环境荣誉奖项第一次颁发给河北。50多年的坚守,塞罕坝林场三代人在荒原上建设了112万亩世界上面积最大的人工林场,创造了沙地变绿洲、荒原变林海的“绿色奇迹”。
