With the development of economic globalization,the strong protection for the intellectual property has become a new trend.The pharmaceuticals companies in China are at a critical stage of transforming from imitation to innovation.The emphasis of protecting the intellectual property has reached a higher level.It is urgent to fully understand the regulation on pharmaceutical intellectual property.This paper analyzes the international agreements related to pharmaceutical intellectual property in TRIPs plus,and finds that the settlement of the extension on patent and data protection period is the major issue that causes controversy.
