This paper points out that he emergence and development of new concepts and technologies which based on big data platform,Internet,artificial intelligence will inevitably have a profound impact on the existence and development of the traditional ancient books protection and restoration industry.The transformation from the empirical working method to the scientific method is not only conducive to prolonging the survival time of ancient books,carrying forward the culture of ancient books,but also improving the personnel quality and ability level who engaged in protection and restoration of ancient books,bringing new theories to traditional humanities research and extend the research dimension of traditional humanities.
