This paper introduces the background and significance of revision of GB/T 25330—2019 Ballast cleaning machinery,the relationship both with GB/T 25337—2018 Rail heavy-duty maintenance machinery—General techni⁃cal specifications and GB/T 25336—2018 Rail heavy-duty maintenance machinery—Test and inspection method.It clarifies the system positioning of GB/T 25330—2019 in the series standards of rail heavy-duty maintenance machin⁃ery.In order to enable relevant personnel to understand the changes of applicable scope,technical requirements,in⁃spection methods and application assessment in the revision of GB/T 25330—2019,as well as to promote the stan⁃dard for better guideline in manufacturing,inspection and operation&maintenance of ballast cleaning machinery,this paper gives a detailed interpretation of the revision basis and technical considerations of the main provisions.
