Gastric cancer can cause serious threats to the health of Chinese. The treatment for gastric cancer has gradually developed from surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy to immune therapy and precise targeted-therapy.In this paper,we suggest that mining compound Chinese medicine recipes with network pharmacology will promote integrated Chinese and western medicine therapy for the treatment of gastric cancer by comparing the advantages and bottlenecks of western medicine target-differentiation treatment and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome-differentiation treatment for gastric cancer. In this article,we reviewed the research progress in mining compound Chinese medicine recipes for the treatment of gastric cancer with network pharmacology, and summarized the mode of compound Chinese medicine recipes for the treatment of gastric cancer based on the mining results of network pharmacology. It is believed that the technology can predict the multi-component,multitarget,multi-pathway,disease-target regulatory network of compound Chinese medicine recipes, and can be used to explore the molecular mechanism of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment. The application of the technology in compound Chinese medicine recipes for the treatment of gastric cancer will also provide the evidence for drug research of other malignant tumors.
