In the production,maturation and fertilization of sperm,various enzymes in semen play a key role.If diseases or some factors affect the activity of enzymes in semen,it will definitely affect sperm function and has adversely influence on male reproduction.The detection of enzymes in semen can help assess the quality of semen and can reflect the functional status of accessory gonadal glands.This article reviews the research progress of enzymes in semen.
