The May 4th spirit is a spiritual monument left to the contemporary Chinese youth by the Great May 4th Movement.From patriotism to efforts to make the country stronger,from progress to reform,from democracy to rule of law,from science to innovation,are the basic connotation and extension of the May 4th spirit.The inheritance and development of the May 4th spirit in the new era is of great significance to the cultivation of modern Chinese youth with ideals,abilities,responsibilities,and historical,present and future perspectives.And it requires the unity of thought and action.In order to inherit and develop the May 4th spirit in the new era,it is necessary for contemporary Chinese youth to internalize it in their hearts and externalize it in their actions.Contemporary Chinese youth should accurately understand its new connotation and extension,carefully comprehend the new stories written under the guidance of this spirit,and actively participate in the new journey of practicing the May 4th spirit in the new era.
