《中华人民共和国中医药法(中英对照)》译文问题探讨

Problems in the Translation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Traditional Chinese Medicine

《中华人民共和国中医药法(中英对照)》(以下简称《中医药法》译文)的出版有利于促进中医药在世界各国的健康发展。作为法律文本,准确是翻译的前提,但仔细研读发现《中医药法》译文依然存在些许瑕疵,主要体现在语法.选词和格式方面。其中语法问题又包括动词使用问题、名词单复数问题、词性误用、主谓不一致等。笔者对译文存在的这些问题进行了剖析并提出了修改建议。

The publication of the Law of the People′s Republic of China on Traditional Chinese Medicine(Chinese-English) is beneficial for the healthy development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the world. As a legal text, accuracy is the basis for translation. However, some problems still exist in the translated text, which mainly involve mistakes on grammar, word selection and format. And grammatical problems include the misuse of verbs,singular or plural forms of nouns and parts of speech, and subject-predicate inconsistency. This paper analyzed these problems and provided relevant suggestions.
