罗伯特·泽塔勒《读报纸的人》写于2012年,作品以二战前夕的维也纳社会为背景,反映了17岁少年弗兰茨在乱世中的成长。作品结构看似松散,事实上却包含多条线索体现主人公成长的节点,如回忆、通信、身边人的死亡,以及主人公所经历的别离等。在文学领域,梦境被赋予丰富的叙事意义。以梦境或反映人物心境,或推进情节发展,预示事件走向的文学作品,可谓汗牛充栋。《读报纸的人》对梦境的描写颇具特色,弗洛伊德这一人物的设置也使梦境描写赢得一种特殊的意义。
