“后理论时代”的核心主题是理论对自身的反思与重构,其中的关键之处在于重新审视理论在鼎盛时期的得与失,进而寻找理论继续存在的合理性与继续发展的可能性。“后理论时代”首先要破除对于理论无所不能的盲目迷信,对理论向外扩张的欲望加以约束。其次对盛行于理论鼎盛时期的“大规模转型”模式进行反思,重审当下理论与“神谕式人物”之间的关系。“后理论时代”最重要的特征是强调对话关系的构建,唯其如此,理论才能在新时代不断发展并发挥特有的效用。
