贸易便利化与企业出口产品质量升级

Trade Facilitation and Firms’Export Product Quality Upgrading

本文基于2000—2006年制造业企业数据与海关数据,考察了贸易便利化对企业出口产品质量的影响。结果表明:贸易便利化通过中间品进口和企业研发促进了企业出口产品质量升级,该效应受到企业异质性与产品异质性的影响;较强的产业集聚更有利于增强贸易便利化对企业出口产品质量的积极作用。此外,地区—行业层面的出口产品质量分解结果表明,资源配置效应对地区—行业出口产品质量升级的贡献率达到了52%以上,其效应是贸易便利化提升地区—行业出口产品质量的重要途径。相关的稳健性检验证明了该结论的可靠性。

Based on the data of manufacturing enterprise and customs from 2000 to2006,this paper examined the impact of trade facilitation on the export products’ quality of enterprises. The results show that trade facilitation promotes the quality upgrading of export products through the way of intermediate import and enterprise R&D,and this effect is influenced by the heterogeneity of enterprises and products. We also find that stronger industrial agglomeration is more conducive to enhancing the positive effect of trade facilitation on the quality of export products. In addition,the decomposition results of regionalindustry level export product quality show that the contribution rate of resource allocation effect to the upgrading of regional-industry export product quality reach more than 52%. Its effect is an important way for trade facilitation to improve the quality of regional-industry export products. Relevant robustness tests proved the reliability of the conclusion.
