This paper describes that any equipment failure in thermal power plant may have a significant impact on the operation of the whole unit. Therefore, the metal materials and special equipment of the power plant should have strict maintenance and inspection system, find and timely eliminate equipment faults, so as to maintain the stable operation of the thermal power plant.
