Mingzhou Kaiyuan Temple, built in the 26th year of Kaiyuan period in the Tang Dynasty, has left many historical records on the entire history of cultural exchange in East Asia. All the envoys and monks sent by Japan were irrevocably committed to this temple. The faith in“Unwilling-to-go”Guanyin on Mount Putuo is closed related to it.Even monk Fanri from the Korean Peninsula also left his footprints there. Therefore, from the East Asian perspective,Mingzhou Kaiyuan Temple is an international temple with great influence in Tang dynasty.
