《诗经》征役诗最为基本的情感内涵表现为对离开家园的不甘和回归家园的渴盼。这一类诗歌情感较为单纯,基本表现为家园情怀和征役之间的矛盾。除此之外,还有少数征役诗表现的情感内涵较为复杂,展现出对威仪、德行的宣扬,以及对王事的忠敬。主人公或者作者的身份不同,是导致征役诗两类情感形态差异的重要因素。总体看,《诗经》征役诗表现出较为明显的原生态特征,家园情怀具体化为真实的家庭生活和家庭情感,同时也展现出本能地对于生命的眷顾。

The nostalgia for homes is the basic theme of the poems in The Book of Songs.The folks were recruited to join the army or serve as laborers,who were forced to the remote areas and sacrifice their life.The worship for royal authority,feat and allegiance to the king are also reflected in some poems,which may be composed by the poets that belonged to the ruling class.Their social class identity determines the different themes of the poems.The unaffected emotions,such as homesickness and longing for tranquil life are expressed through the description of home life.
