Xu Song is a pop musician,whose lyrics have the artistic characteristics of returning to classical poetry.This paper analyzes Xu Song′s lyrics of Chinese style and summarizes the subject matter as chivalrous spirit of rivers and lakes,retreating to mountains and rivers,mourning the death as well as travelling and nostalgia.It also discusses the image characteristics used for different subject matter,explores the inheritance from classical poetry and analyzes the ways of composition.
