The Silk Road and The Tang Empire explores the historical and cultural exchanges between the silk road nationalities and the Tang Empire from the perspective of the Central Eurasia,with the characteristics of grand historical background,unique perspective,multiple historical materials,and ample arguments.Although some of its arguments inevitably fall into the pattern of“traditional historical view of Central Eurasian”and“Sogdian central historical view”,the author’s research still inspires us to adopt the scientific historical view and methodology in the future historical research,to comprehensively apply the interdisciplinary theories and research methods,to research in details the fragmentary historical materials from the multi-dimensional perspective,not only to ensure the diversity of historical materials but also to pay special attention to the accurate use of archaeological materials,to be fully acquainted with the academic frontier,and to attach much importance to the communication and connection with the international academic communities.In addition,as a rather popular and academic reading,this book also provides the academic circle with a popular but highly academic writing paradigm.
