我国成为《华盛顿协议》的正式成员以后,地方工科院校按照国家要求,积极开展工程教育专业认证工作,它对于保障工程类专业毕业生培养质量具有重要意义。“新工科”建设是基于国家发展战略部署,产业转型升级的需要对高等工程教育提出的新要求。在工程教育专业认证背景下,传统专业的升级改造、人才培养模式创新、持续改进机制构建等方面对地方工科院校“新工科”建设非常重要,如何落实《华盛顿协议》的精神,使“新工科”建设体现工程教育专业认证的三大核心理念:“以学生为中心”“成果导向”和“持续改进”。
