Objective To investigate the role of compound paulownia leaf burn oil in dressing change after surgery for perianal abscess. Methods Eighty patients who underwent one-stage radical operation from January 2018 to January 2019 for perianal abscess were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 patients in each group. Both groups received routine dressing change.Additionally, the observation group was given compound paulownia leaf burn oil for periodic dressing change according to the pathological characteristics of wound healing at different stages.Wound healing, healing time and treatment outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The wound healing rates at 3 and 4 weeks after operation and the total effective rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group((66.50±13.47)%vs(47.30±9.78)%,(84.66±8.28)%vs(69.18±10.05)%,and 100.00%vs 80.00%,respectively;P<0.05).The wound healing time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group((27.75±4.46)days vs(30.15±4.11)days,P<0.05).Conclusion According to the pathophysiological characteristics of wound healing at different stages, the application of compound paulownia leaf burn oil in dressing change can improve wound healing and shorten healing time after surgery for perianal abscess.
