In the environment of quality education,more and more attention is paid to physical education.Some provinces and cities have made physical education a part of the college entrance examination,which also shows that physical education plays an important role in school education.Sports games can enrich the content of physical education and improve students'enthusiasm for participating in sports.Therefore,this article focuses on exploring the role of sports competitions in middle school physical education in order to improve the quality of middle school physical education.
