两汉时期,谣言一直伴随王朝始终,诸多政治人物的命运因谣言而改变,很多恶性谣言的传播导致了社会恐慌,谣言通过影响政治关键人物的决策而影响了国家政局走向。面对谣言的传播,两汉政府针对不同性质的谣言,采取了不同的态度和手段进行回应,以消减谣言舆论的消极影响。通过这种方式,统治者和公众之间形成了互动关系,民情通过谣言下传上达,有利于维护汉代的社会稳定。
