摘要
本文研究冶金工程英语词句特征。该专业词汇方面呈现普通词汇专业化、专业术语特殊化和缩略词语普遍化的特点,句法上大量使用长句和被动句。文章通过分析翻译实例探讨相应翻译方法,以期为冶金工程英语翻译提供借鉴。
With analysis of the features of vocabulary and syntax in Metallurgical Engineering English texts, this paper finds that specialized words and terms as well as abbreviations are widely used and long sentences and passive sentences are adopted in the texts. In addition, this paper provides,by way of analyzing translation examples,some references for metallurgical engineering interpreters/translators.
