袍哥民间政治与巴蜀近现代社会

An Analysis of Folk Politics of Paoge and the Modern Society of Bashu

民间政治源自江湖世界,它是对主流社会秩序的对峙、拨离,是对主流社会的挑战与破坏。袍哥民间政治源于巴蜀民间隐秘帮会组织袍哥,它对近现代巴蜀主流社会造成冲击甚至破坏,无论是啯噜、李蓝起义还是打洋教、保路运动,均显示了袍哥民间政治的威力。保路运动后,袍哥公开化、合法化,袍哥民间政治从过去的隐秘公开走向巴蜀现代社会舞台,并逐渐渗透到巴蜀政治、军事、经济、文化等各个阶层,成为主宰巴蜀社会的重要力量,对巴蜀现代社会给以控制、影响。对袍哥民间政治的认识,既要看到其正面历史意义,亦要看清其丑恶的反动性存在。

Folk politics originated from the world of the Jianghu.It confronted and alienated the order of the mainstream society and challenged and destroyed mainstream society.Paoge folk politics originated from Paoge,a secret gang organization in Bashu,which attacked and destroyed the mainstream society of modern Bashu.The power of Paoge folk politics was demonstrated by the Guolu problem and the uprising of Lan Chaoding and Li Yonghe,the attack against foreign religions,and the Railway Protection Movement.After the movement of protecting the railway,Paoge became public and legalized.Paoge folk politics,once-secret,went to the stage of Bashu modern society openly,and gradually penetrated the political,military,economic,cultural and other strata of Bashu,and became an important force to dominate the Bashu society,controlling and influencing the modern society of Bashu.To understand Paoge folk politics,we should not only see its positive historical significance but also recognize its ugly reactionary nature.
